Our trip to D.C.

We took a wonderful trip to Washington D.C. in the beginning of January to visit "the kids." Just to be clear, it was cold. I hadn't seen snow in years.

Most of my indoor (non-Museum) photos from this trip were bad. The two (non-snow) below turned out okay (click on the image to see the full size picture):

The boys got a haircut while the girls...I don't know…nails? Ever notice how in the movies the diva is the only one wearing red at the ball?

Julee and I took a side trip to the Smithsonian, natural and little America history. There are some arts photos on my Arts (and tourism) page.

We survived without frostbite long enough to get these tripod and timer selfies.

And we had some fun and adventures inside:

Julee braved the wilderness.

Bob's more of a lover than a fighter.

We both waded with the whale.

And posed with the shark. (be careful with that tongue!)

Regarless of your personal beliefs, this one is pretty much self-evident:

Bob's 50th Birthday

They say that aging beats the alternative!
I had a nice 50th birthday. My parents suffered a March visit to sunny Florida and Julee took a bunch of us out to Brio.
Here is the before dinner picture:

This one is at Brio - mine came out so so - if you were there and have a better pic, email me!:

Later in the week,
Chanel got a bath...

…We ordered, received, and used heart-shaped pancake rings...

…and we visited two of Columbus' ships on their stop in Stuart, FL.

We got a few family photos at the docks. I'm the one with nice hair-do. (click on the image to see the full size picture):

Sadly, we lost Dave later this spring.
This picture is from from Mary Jane's birthday party in April.
Lucy and Dave had a magical affect on cameras,
even in low light they never took a bad picture.

Marco Island

Julee and I visited Marco Island for the first time.

The camera stayed in the room for the most part, but here are a few (click on the image to see the full size picture):

More stuff...

We got a new sign in our neighborhood earlier this year (not in these folks yard :o)

After the sign appeared, I didn't see these two for a couple of months. Thankfully, they have returned and it was not an accident that inspired the sign!
