Our Labor Day weekend 2014 trip to Captiva, FL
Julee and I stayed at 'Tween Waters Inn this trip. It was nice being up in Captiva for one time.
(But we'll probably be back at Sanibel Moorings for our next trip.)
Sanibel / Captiva is all about the shells and you can see my photos from
on my Arts and Tourism page.

Most of you probably just want to see Chanel, so here you go: (click on the images below to see the full size pictures)

There weren't many shells washing up on the beach the first couple of days, but there were plenty of "angel wings" (variable coquinas).
Then a lot of shells started washing up Monday evening, when everone else had gone home :o).
The pictures below show our haul in souvenir T-shirt format, with the fist two days on the left, Monday evening in the center, and Tuesday morning on the right:

The manatees were not as cute as Chanel, but they are an interesting attraction.
They spend so much early morning time at the 'Tween Waters marina that "Manatee Manners" are posted.
The longer you hang out taking pictures, the more manatees come in close to shore! (click on the images below to see the full size pictures)

Of course we did a little bit of shopping. Here's some of what we brought home and one that didn't make the cut!

Most of the pictures we took of each other (and together) were just before left. We did not actually wear the same clothes all weekend long!
